Since its creation, the customer has worked extensively with business process outsourcers in the following areas: Enrollment Management, Payroll Processing (through ADP), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivables (AR) and Students Management. This approach enabled the organization to keep costs in line with its student population. However the lack of process integration and automation between some of the service providers and the university negatively impacted the organization’s ability to efficiently manage its AP/AR, payroll processing, marketing and student support activities. Additionally, this lack of integration negatively impacted services to students.
The customer engaged CSG principals to lead a Business Process Improvement (BPI) initiative across all internal departments that affected the quality of service provided to students. Further, the BPI was a launch pad for the procurement, implementation, and integration of key systems to address existing process efficiency. Within 6 months, the customer achieved a turnaround of critical business processed. The above led to organizational savings of up to $3M/year and significant improvements in student services that resulted in increased enrollment and retention.
